WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is due to be sentenced to 62 months of time already served at a hearing on the island of Saipan in the Pacific at 9am on [date]. This comes after he agreed to plead guilty to a single felony count of illegally obtaining and disclosing classified information.
Assange is currently in police custody in London awaiting possible extradition to the United States after spending seven years in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
The Justice Department said the plea deal would resolve a long-running legal battle between Assange and the United States.
